The Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) hired Franson Civil Engineers to prepare a Resource Management Plan (RMP) for Jordanelle Reservoir.
The RMP provides a 10-year framework for the orderly, coordinated development and management of the land and recreation resources under USBR jurisdiction around the reservoir.
USBR’s goal of the RMP was to develop a coordinated plan for managing, protecting, and enhancing fish and wildlife habitat, natural resources, cultural resources, and recreational resources in a manner that is aesthetically and environmentally safe.
In conjunction with the preparation of the RMP, an Environmental Assessment (EA) was prepared to meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The EA identifies and evaluates potential management alternatives and environmental effects that may be associated with the implementation of the RMP.
We used a website to facilitate public involvement and participation during the development of the RMP and EA. Copies of the final documents can be accessed through USBR’s website.
